Open Question: How to avoid disruptions in the 'top 4' of the premier league in fifa 10?

I plan to play as liverpool's manager on fifa 10 but Im concerned about the realistic situation being changed in the BPL. we know arsenal, chelsea, man utd and liverpool are the 'top 4' and i would like to maintain it. i played the manager mode with other teams and went i qualify for champions league on my 2nd season, i see clubs like west ham, fulham contending for the champions league. so is there a way or two, to prevent other team to break in the top 4 finish when im playing as one of the 4 teams? is there any BEST formation for the respective 4 teams? pls let me know....
