That Hodgson made him captain for the Europa League game. It was said by a lot of people that only Rafa Benitez could see anything in him. But the new "Messiah" Roy Hodgson obviously sees something in him. I know people will say yes but look who Liverpool played but to be fair Daniel Agger, Soto Kyriagos (spelling) Martin Skrtel or even Aquilani could have taken the arm band.
